Quick answer: Our standard acoustic panel is 1200 × 600 mm, which is 0.72 square metres. At S$120 per panel plus S$45 to install, that works out to about S$230 per square metre, supplied and installed. Accessories such as ceiling hangers or a scaffold for high ceilings are quoted on top.
Key takeaways
- One panel covers 0.72 m². S$165 installed works out to about S$230 per m².
- You only pay for the area you cover, not the whole wall.
- Most rooms need panels on about a quarter of the walls.
How do you work out the price per square metre?
Take one panel: 1.2 m wide and 0.6 m tall. That is 0.72 m². The panel is S$120 and installing it is S$45, so S$165 in total. Divide S$165 by 0.72 and you get about S$229. We round it to S$230 per m². This is the simplest way to compare us with a quote that is written per square metre or per square foot.
Why price per panel and not per square metre?
Because you buy panels, not wall. A 4 × 3 m bedroom has about 35 m² of wall, but it may only need 6 to 10 panels to sound much better. That is 4 to 7 m² of panels, not 35. If someone quotes you to "cover the wall", ask how many panels that really is. See how many acoustic panels you need.

What about per square foot?
One square metre is about 10.8 square feet. So S$230 per m² is about S$21 per sq ft, supplied and installed. Some quotes for acoustic ceiling boards are written per sq ft, but those boards cover the whole ceiling. Panels go only where they do the most good, so you usually cover far less area.
What one panel costs, by area
- Panel only · Per panel (0.72 m²): S$120 · Per m²: about S$167 · Per sq ft: about S$15.50
- Panel + install · Per panel (0.72 m²): S$165 · Per m²: about S$230 · Per sq ft: about S$21
- Accessories · Per panel (0.72 m²): Quoted separately · Per m²: – · Per sq ft: –
What makes the price per m² go up?
Custom sizes and shapes, printed artwork, ceiling clouds that need hanging kits, very high ceilings that need a scaffold, and after-hours work. These are quoted as extras so you can see them clearly. Ask us early if your job needs any of them, so the quote is complete. See our pricing page.

What makes it go down?
Standard sizes on simple, flat walls keep you at the base price with no extras. If you put the panels up yourself, you only pay for the panels: S$120 each, about S$167 per m². Using fewer panels in the right spots also lowers the total, even though the rate stays the same.
How do I get my exact number?
Send us a photo and the room size on WhatsApp. We count the panels and send a price. It is free. See getting a quote from photos.
Worked example: a 4 × 3 m meeting room
The walls of a 4 × 3 m room with a 2.8 m ceiling add up to about 39 m². You do not cover all of it. Eight panels (5.8 m²) on the side walls and the back wall is a normal start. That is 8 × S$165 = S$1,320 installed. If you priced the whole wall at S$230 per m², you would get about S$9,000, which is far more than the room needs.
How to compare quotes fairly
Turn every quote into the same three numbers: how many panels (or m² of panel), the price per panel, and the extras. A quote that looks cheap per m² can cost more if it covers more wall than you need. A quote with no panel count is hard to check, so ask for one.
What we see on real jobs
A per-square-metre quote for wall cladding covers the whole wall. Panels cover only about a quarter of it, so the total for the room is usually much lower.
